I think he might be a brother to my 2nd gr grandmother, Mary Dodd, who was born 1800-1810 in TN and married Lemuel Sledge in Hardeman County in 1826. They were in Henderson, TN in 1830 and subsequently moved to Pontotoc County when it was opened for white settlement in the early 1830's. Daniel Dodd was living next to Lemuel Sledge when the census was taken.
