Hello Nikolaus! You and I have talked about this specific family before but for different reasons. Since the last time that we talked, I was able to locate a family plot at Hoboken Cemetery in North Bergen, New Jersey where 13 individuals of the same family are buried. One of these individuals is a Conrad Dohrmann who died 2 Jul 1837 at the age of 39 years. I have not been able to identify Conrad and I'm curious to know if you have been able to figure out who he was.
Johanna E. Macaulay, (whom we know is Johanna Elizabeth Magdalena Ordemann), is also buried in this cemetery, along with her husband Andrew C. Macaulay and several other family members. Still, I cannot seem to confirm who Conrad Dohrmann was. I know that Johanna was married to a Carl W. Dorhmann before she married Andrew Macaulay. The story is that Carl disappeared during a fishing trip and his body was never found - but that could be an incorrect family legend. Do you think that Carl and Conrad might be the same person? Do you recall anything about the 1900 Census that you mentioned in your original post, (such as other family members, where they lived, etc)?
I'd be more than happy to share the cemetery record with you, if you'd like to have a copy of it.
