Hi,Pilsbury Coombs Doliver was my Gr,GR Grandfather. Born in Searsport Maine 1842. Married Abbie Ellen Springer Issue Mabel Doliver and Edna Doliver. Evidently he was quite a character. He was a tailor by trade and had built up quite a sucsessfull shop in Augusta Maine. He sold out in 1888 and moved out west to california where he hoped to become wealthy. He helped found the town of Pismo Beach. It is a quiet little beach town that still bears his name on the main street through town. Doliver Ave.. I visited the town recently and found the local historical group and aranged to send them pictures of the town as it appeared in 1888. Naturally they were quite thrilled. Unfortunately he speculated on where the Railroad would come through and bought up the supposed route only to have the Rairoad take another. Needless to say he was devestated financialy. He moved back to Massachusetts and settled in Revere, where he lived out the rest of his days. I have some additional info on him if anybody is interested. He was quit the inventor! you wouldn't believe the Ideas he had.
