Here is additional information on the family of Thomas DOLLARD of New Jersey and New York.
Thomas DOLLARD "a native of Ireland" applied for US citizenship [first papers] on 9 June 1856 at Paterson, Passaic County, New Jersey (Inferior Court of Common Pleas). He was naturalized in the September 1860 term of the Passaic Common Pleas Court with William TIMMOCK or TUNNOCK serving as naturalization witness. The signatures of both men appear on the final papers. Dollard's is quite fluid and suggests he was competent at writing. Tunnock and Dollard were listed at the same address in Paterson city directories in the late 1850s. Thomas DULLARD was enumerated in the 1860 census in New York City with his wife Janet and children Thomas and Edward. By 1870, Thomas was living in New Jersey again - Jersey City, Hudson County - with a wife named Mary. I believe they may have been livng in West Troy, Albany County, New York in 1880. Enumerated with them as "Mother-in-Law" was Charlotte CUNNINGHAM, age 79.
