I can safely say that Nancy Dollins Riggs b. 1800 VA is the daughter of William and Phebe Dollins/ Dollins. She is listed in her mother Phebe's estate in Audrain County, MO in 1844. Her husband Samuel was executor of the estate. She is buried in Boone County, MO near her two children Phebe Riggs and Silas T. Riggs. Her husband Samuel is probably buried near one of his previous wives.
If your James D. Dollens was born in VA then he is more than likely the son of Richard and Margaret Alexander Dollins--who I believe are my direct line, parents of John Mallory Dollins who married Malinda Jane Stewart.
I believe William and Phebe Dollins migrated to Lincoln county, KY before 1810--around the town of Crab Orchard, which then became a part of Garrard County, KY.Phebe and some of her sons later removed to Audrain County, MO where she died in 1844.She was the mother of: Nancy Riggs, William T, John (P?), Mary, James and a Jeremiah (deceased).William apparently dies before being head of household in Garrard county, KY.
IN the late 1820s Richard and Margaret Alexander Dollins leave Orange/ Albemarle County, VA and live briefly in Garrard County, KY.They too then remove to Audrain County, MO before 1840.I believe Richard and Margaret Alexander Dollins are the parents of James D. Dollins and John Mallory Dollins--my ancestor--born. c. 1826 in VA--died after 1880 in Audrain County, MO.) Richard was the Rev. Soldier according to Scott Co. Ark bio.He was a registered voter in Audrain County. James D. is the one that married the Jackson girl and moved to Dallas county Texas.Richard and Margaret's only known daughter Mary married a Jeremiah Shepherd.
I believe Phebe Dollins's James (P?) Dollins stays in central Kentucky and has several daughters. One's name is: Phebe!Jeremiah married a Kennedy and his only child died rather young. These are my best educated guesses! There are too many Dollins families in early KY to place all, but it is getting easier as more and more researchers are sharing their research.
