Hi, Lillian..that will of Thomas Garrison in Rowan Co., 1805 is NOT Paul and Margaret's son Thomas. This is a younger Thomas...see the followup I wrote to mary Lee.
But you're right...Thomas (who died in Buncombe Co) was the first son (known anyway) of Paul and now we know Margaret Garrison. His descendant matched my brother's DNA and we are corresponding. We also have other matches. At least one who is either from one of Paul's other sons...and I'm thinking either James whom I think may be ours but have no sure evidence or else form one of Paul and Margaret's other sons..perhaps John, their second son.
I have an email toYOU too not quite finished that I started the minute you answered my email. We have for sure sons Thomas, John, Paul Jr. (mine) born ca. 1750, and Sam found a Nehemiah...I have no info on him. Also Sam said one of the James from North Carolina was ours. The one from Wilkes co is from the I1 halpogroup and does not match ours...so that leaves the one in Rowan and that makes more sense but so far I have no paper evidence to prove that. One of our matches may be from him.We also have a match from a descendant of Stephan Garrison RWS Rowan Co., not quite as close but could still be a son of Paul, perhaps...pretty sure he is relataed. So far we have found no daughters.
