My wife, Maggie, and I are at present in Scotland - on a visit from Ausgralia. Next week, 28 Sept - 2 Oct, we will be in Donegal, seeking information on my Doohan and Heraghty ancestors and distant relatives still living. We will be staying in Rathmelton for a couple of days and spending time in the Donegal Ancestry Centre. Then we will go to Gweedore and nearby places to see the area and see what further we can find. On 14 July 1859 my Great Great Grandfather,Bernard Heraghty, his wife, Catherine Doohan, and their four children arrived in Sydney, NSW, Australia, on the "Lady Elma Bruce". Like your forebears that arrived on the "Saphire", Michelle, my folk were assisted by the Donegal Relief Fund. Ralph, I noted what you wrote in your comment on Michelle's message. I will be returning home on 6 October.
