Hello Dorsett family members, My name is Melissa Ann Dorsett D.O.B. 03/11/1971 from Hammond, Indiana. My mothers name is Bernadine Alice Shakes from East Chicago, Indiana and my fathers name is Ralph Lewis Dorsett from Midolothian, Illinois. My father had another daughter that was born 6 weeks before me on 01/31/1971, her name is Patricia Ann Dorsett born in Indiana also. Her mothers name is Vicki. She has married several times and the last known last names of Vicki are Horton and Owens. I also have a sister named Angela Marie Dorsett D.O.B. 04/26/1968 from Indiana. My sister and I were very young when my mother moved us to Texas. We have not seen our half sister Patricia since then. As we grew older we decided we wanted to locate her which was very unsuccesful. I believe I found her mother Vicki through U.S. Search about 15 years ago by her social security number and they located her in Tennessee and other addresses in Kentucky. When I received the return request with signature from the letter I sent her that she had to sign for, I called the number that I had on her and she said that she wasnt the Vicki we were looking for and I knew in my heart that she was. I just want to find my sister. My mother past away in 2005 and my father, who now lives with me, has cancer and isnt doing too good. All other immediate family has past away and we (my father, my sister Angela, myself, and my 3 childen Jeremy Daniel Lewis Zickel age 21, Jamie Ramon Brandon Martinez age 19, and Carissa Cheyenne Huskey Dorsett age 12, and my 2 grandbabies Mariah and Kailyn) are all thats left besides cousins and so fourth. So if anyone out there has any information or any kinds of leads on Patricia or her mother Vicki, please, let me know. I would just like to find my sister. It really hurts my heart and I have an empty space inside of me that needs to be filled. And after 34 years of not knowing her or even knowing where she was, it makes me wonder if she even remembers us or if she even knows that she is our sister. Even though I was only 5 the last time I saw her, I never forgot her, not even for a day. We always asked our mom about her, but she never had any luck on locating Vicki so all we have are memories and a couple of pictures of us playing outside at Bushas house. Any information would be greatly appreciated. And Trish if you are reading this, I wont give up on looking for you until the day that I die. You are my sister and I would love to have you in my life and my childrens lives. You are the last piece of our life puzzle thats missing and until you are found, our family will not ever be complete. Sincerely,Melissa P.S. Please help me!
