I've had to collect the Dosset as well as the Dorsett information regarding this family for both surnames are used for this family as late as 1900, sometimes in the same documents.
Using the deed records, it is clear that Joseph Sr. had five sons:
James - Thomas - Joseph Jr. - John - and Elijah.
by using the deed records where Joseph deeded land to them.
