I recently discovered a connection to Richard Dossett (b abt 1821 in Wandsworth), married possibly three times:Eliza/Elizabeth Sheppard; Frances unknown (or possibly Elizabeth Frances, unclear); and finally, Harriet Westover, whom he married later in life, about 1880.He was an engine driver who relocated between censuses from Wandsworth to Brighton to Bermondsey to Kent.He returned to Wandsworth in his 50s, joined by spinster Harriet (no prior marriages).
Richard's children are (all by Elizabeth): Emily (b. abt 1845 in Brighton) Anne (b. 1846, in Brighton) Walter Sheppard (b. 1847, in Brighton) Isabella Grace (b. 1849, in Southwark) Alfred Richard (b. 1850, in Bermondsey) Clara Macklow (b. 1858, in North Aylesford) and Martha Agnes (b. 1860, in Frindsbury)
Their mother, Elizabeth, died before the 1871 census.
If anyone sees any potential connections, do let me know.
