Donna, this is my family. Linda Anne (Doucette) McIntyre, or Mrs. Malcolm McIntyre, is the direct ancestor. She was born in Tusket in 1902 and I believe her family originated there. She and her parents immigrated in 1904.Her mother, Charlotte Ann (Muise) Doucette died in Wakefield, MA in 1958.John Edmund died in Wakefield after her, but I don't have a date off hand, but he went by the name Edmund, not John.He was born 15 June 1874.
I have not confirmed this data, but based on the 1881 census for Tusket, I have the following family noted in Tusket:
William Doucettb. abt. 1837 NS Lydia Doucett b. abt. 1843 NS William Doucett b. abt. 1865 NS Rubin Doucett b. abt. 1867 NS Ramie Doucett b. abt. 1868 NS Edmund Doucett b. abt. 1873 NS Ambroise Doucett b. abt. 1880 NS
Linda indicated she had family in Gloucester, and I have found an Ambrose Doucette and a Leon Doucette in Gloucester, whom I think are her uncles.
Also, in the 1881 census, living next door to William and Lydia in Tusket are:
Andrew Doucett b. abt. 1806 NS Hannah Doucett, b. abt. 1813 NS
I thought these might be parents of Wiliam, but am not sure. As for Charlotte Ann (Muise) Doucette, again, from the 1881 census, I suspect her parents are Moses Muise and Margret Muise also in Tusket. Sorry I don't have any thing more concrete at this point.
