Lytle, 1st Sept 1803,price $166.66 2/3 (no acres specified) & 5 Aug 1805, price $443.00, 243 acres.Also deeds to their daus., 1811, Edward & Ann to John Leeds having married our dau. Alice Doughty 60 acres from Lytle ect.; 26 Aug 1811, Edward to James Bunting of Greene Co. Ohio, 62 acres from Lytle for $155.00; & Edward & Ann 26 Aug 1811, to James Bunting of Greene Co.,in consideration of marrying our dau. Sarah Doughty 61 3/4 acres in Williamsburg Twp., corner of Richard Doughty's land-- to John Leeds land (from William Lytle);Edward & Ann 27 Aug 1811 to Wm. Compton, 61 acres (from Lytle)-- having married our dau. Jamima Doughty ect ect. (The parents generously gave their children land.) I suppose the other sons recd. a settlement too ? Pease was apptd. guardian to Sarah & she was not happy about it & sued to have his guardianship removed. She was declared competent &WON the case! I have a lot on the Doughty's & Edward's line by various descendants but don't know if they are now active on the family history.
