I have a Thomas Dow , wife Phoebe Lottey,in Newberry Port 1639 on south side of Greenleafs Lane (non state) heading to Watts Cellar. admitted a freeman by the General Court on June 22,1642.Sold this property and bought property in Haverhill, a frontier town. He is said to be the first white settler to be burried in Haverhill. His dates (1615-May 29 1654)

His wife Phoebe later married John Eaton of Haverhill. She died in 1746.
Are these the Dow's you are researching? I am a descendant of Enoch Dow and Ruth Norton. They settled in Dowville, Canterbury Parish, New Brunswick. We were the earliest Dows in this area. Pre loyalist. There is another settlement in Canterbury Parish called Dowsettlement but they came to the area later.
