Oops - I certainly slipped up on the age of Caroline - you are absolutely right - Seth's daughter was 11 in 1850 - so was 11 years too young to be wife of Daniel! Not sure how I made that error, but I do apologize.
There are 24 Dow families in Cumberland Co. in 1850 and 17 Dyer families in Hollis ME - I'll check images as time permits to see if I can locate a Daniel and/or Caroline age 22.
You say Francis's death in 1932 was confirmed by Saco clerk, but the IGI submission with Caroline Dyer of Scotland has 1936, not 1932.Was that just a typo, or is the IGI wrong?
I did not find Madison in that submission - so these could be totally different submissions and one could be correct and the other not.Maybe I missed a connection? The only thing I found for him was this:
MADISON SEWALL DOW - International Genealogical Index / NA
Gender: Male Birth: 20 MAR 1891 Cape Porpoise, York, Maine
This does not match the 1900 census which gives Madison and both his older and younger sisters as born in PA.The family (Francis A., Eugenia, R??e, Madison S., Mary E., and Caroline S.) was in Concord, Merrimack Co., NH in 1900, and once again Caroline S. Dow gives her birth location and that of both parents as ME. She gives Feb 1828 as date of birth. Madison S. is listed as b. Mar 1891.
Do you know where Madison really was born? Do you know where the family lived in 1910?
