Dana Roderick Dow, 78, of Bryant, Ark., died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006.
A memorial service following cremation will be held April 1, at 4 p.m., at Lookout Mountain Flight Park in Trenton, Ga.
A graduate of Auburn University, he retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He also retired as the Human Resources Manager at Boaz Medical Center. He loved flying both in the U.S. Air Force and in civilian life and owned his own plane. He was a rated hang-glider pilot at Lookout Flight Park, Ga., where he lived several years prior to moving to Arkansas.
Survivors include his daughters, Carole (Richard) Stafford of Bryant, Ark, Dana Pohli of Bilora, Miss., Kerry Dow of Glade Springs, Va., Jamie (Shannon) Cahill of Boaz; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and loved ones.
