Just noted your response re Lorenzo Dow the preacher - assume he is the Lorenzo Dow aka "Crazy Dow" Camp-meeting Methodist born Connecticut in 1770's. Not an ancestor but subject of a major research project I am just beginning. Dow travelled extensively in USA, Lower Canada, Ireland and England 1790's through early 1800's and was possibly greatest single influence on founding of Primitive Methodist Church in England in early 1800's. He wrote some rather "way-out" autobiog. and pams. which I can't access "down under" inAustralia it seems. Any help or advice re sources for any/all material re/ written by Dow most gratefully received. Daryl Lightfoot, Archivist/Librarian, Uniting Church in Australia (NSW Synod).
