As I announced at another genealogy web site's Dow forum, I decided to implement a web site for Thomas Dow (of Newbury, MA, 1639c) descendants.
Today, I'm uploading updated files.Note that it may take a couple of days for the search engine feature to update, but using that feature on or after February 1, 2001 should be safe.
The files contain an HTML'ed version of my database, with significant portions compared against "The Book of Dow."In terms of the book, the following lineages are complete:BA, BD, and BE.The BB lineage is only incomplete with respect to the BBBFHC descendants (in Maine) and two unconnected but assumed sub-lineages:BBBEBF and BBBFHJ (which wouldn't generate any connected HTML pages anyway). Some but not all corrections in the book's supplement have been applied. The BC lineage (Stephen Dow), to which I belong, has not been rechecked against the book and still has many duplicate entries (as obtained from other sources). As noted on my opening page, the BCB, BCDE, BCDG, and BCF sublineages have not yet been entered.I will still be working on this in future months. Most "BC" descendants don't have their index codes from the book in their data fields (but some have them in their source page fields instead), so don't expect that to work.
Where there is intermarriage into the lineage of Henry Dow ("A"), namely at "ADF", I have not proceede further and don't plan to until the entire "B" (Thomas Dow) lineage is completed.I do not plan to enter Henry Dow's descendants, except for the intermarriage(s).
