Children as named in the will: John, Richard, William Mary, Macina, Nowdina, James and Peter Dauge and Jacquelina Cannon. Some descendants now use the spelling DOZIER.

Leonard Dozier's name was DOZIER at the time of his naturalization in 1683/84 (Recorded in Westmoreland County, Virginia in 1734.Some say the wife of Leonard Dozier was Elizabeth Dupuy and cite the fact that she was made the adm. of Leonard's estate after his death in 1693.This document does not mention the Dupuy at all.Elizabeth was a very common name.To say this is Elizabeth Dupuy is a stretch unless proof can be found.
