I, too, have been in search of identifying this Hannah for quite some time.I have done extensive research into the Drewrys of York (Charles Parish) and Southampton County, Va.
I have a Hannah Drewry, b 10/28/1720, who is the daughter of Thomas Drewry.I have the note that she died in infancy.
I have another Hannah who died after 1827 in Southampton County, Va.She was the daughter of John Drewry who married Rebecca Drewry 8/13/1788, so she is not the one.
I have a Hannah Drewry who married a Mackey on 12/7/1791 in Southampton County, Va.She was the daughter of Thomas Drewry, Jr., 1725 - 1777, from Charles Parish and then believed to have moved to Southampton County when it was first formed in 1753.
I have a Hannah who married 12/19/1795, Southampton County, Va. Charles Simmons. She was the daughter of Humphrey Drewry b 1730 in Charles Parish and died 1797 in Southampton County, Va.
I have a Hannah, died 1830, with the note never married. She was the daughter of Joseph 1775 - 1824 and Elizabeth Drewry.
I have not been able to identify for sure if the Hannah who was widowed by Gillette is oneof the above or not. There were other Drewrys in the Charles Parish/York County area at the time who are not as well documented as the Drewry line I am following, but I have always felt that this Hannah belongs in the line.
Let me know if you find anything out about this Hannah.
