My father always claimed that we were related to the Drinkwaters of Macon County, Ga. I have not had any luck on this connection, but I suspect that Mary Castleberry was married to a Drinkwater somewhere in NE Ga. around Warren, or Greene County. She was married to John Mott by 1820 in Wilkinson County. All of the Wilkinson county records burned, but the 1820 census showed John Mott with 2 Children under 10 uears old,and they could have been Drinkwaters. The 1830 census showed 2 more children, which would indicate another marriage. They all moved to Macon County after Johnacquired land thru the Lottery. Jesse and a sister would have been the next two, and they would have been named Mott. Some of this is conjecture, but it strenghtens the connection between Eli Elton and Frederick Kilpstrick Williams, who was my ancestor that married Charity Deese. I believe she was his 2nd wife also, and the Matthew Williams who has been a puzzle in the distribution of David Williams estate in Irwin County, may have been by your Susannah Donaldson.
