Hi, I'm not sure on this John but have always believed he was a decendent of Micheal from Rockingham Co. NC. Samuel Drollinger married Sarah Henderson, Thomas married Polly Fowler, Margeret married Lewis Bond (1805)Rockingham Co.
Micheal has land in Rockingham 1783, land description mentioned Martin's line. Adam there 1793 mentioned Alexander Martin, Samuel there 1795, Thomas there 1798.
Micheal of Rockingham and John of Guilford were sons of Adam of Orange Co. NC. (the immigrant).
John (mine) was in Guilford as early as 1788.
He had sons John, Adam, Henry, William, and Frederick. I have info on all except John Jr. I haven't been able to prove it but I believe he married Polly McCollock and then died, the Mary I find on the 1830 census may be her.
I was interested in your Clark line. I have done some research on the 2 Stephanus' in the area. My Stephanus Clark married Betsy Doty, the other married Kesiah Doty. Both from NJ. talk about confusion! Do you know who Georges' parents were? Let me know if I can help.Kerry
