PELHAM, NH -- Edward E. Dubreuil, 88, of Pelham, died Thursday evening, May 6th, at D'Youville Senior Care Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of Jeanne P. (Robillard) Dubreuil with whom he celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on December 27, 2009.
Born in Putnam, Connecticut, October 30, 1921, the son of the late Alphonse and the late Angelina (LaBonte) Dubreuil, he attended Putnam, CT schools, and was a graduate of Putnam Trade School, as a Machinist.
Before retiring, Mr. Dubreuil was co-owner/operator of the former Banjo Pub in Tyngsboro, MA. Previously, he was a machinist with Avco Systems in Wilmington, MA where he assisted in the design and manufacturing of the Apollo 13 heat shield. Prior to that he worked at Pratt & Whitney in Hartford, CT.
In addition to spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Mr. Dubreuil's true love was to play the banjo and he was a member of the New England Banjo Society and also the Yankee Strummers of Pelham. He also played for over 21 years at Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH.
He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Pelham, NH.
Besides his wife, Jeanne, Mr. Dubreuil is survived by five children, David E. Dubreuil and his wife, Lillian of Lowell, Dianne R. O'Connor and her husband, Herbert of Westminster, MA, Elaine L. Martone and her husband, Lawrence of Pelham, Denise J. Aubin and her husband, Normand of Pelham, and Daniel E. Dubreuil of Pelham; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Adelard Dubreuil of Putnam, CT; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also grandfather of the late Celeste O'Connor and brother of the late Lena Lagace and the late Gloria Blevins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care that he received from the staff at the D'Youville Senior Care Center.
