An Anthony Alexander Ducharme was a soldier in the Canadian infantry during WWI. He died on Dec. 10 1918, at 28 years old (hence he was born in 1890, slightly different from 1886).
According to the cemetery record, he was the son of Anthony and Mary Ducharme from Detroit. His file (# 529139)can be looked at the Canadian archives site, at www.archives.ca. When on the site, click on English, then on Online research tool, then on Soldiers of WWI
He could be one of the children of your Anthony and Mary Ducharme. Anthony (Antoine in French) was quite a common first name at that period, espcialley among the Ducharme families in western canadian provinces. I doubt vey much that this Anthony came from France: there are very few Ducharme families in France.
That is all I knw about that family, that I have been looking for since at least year 2000. I will forward to you all new information that I could get.
