Shirlene - I got a package off to you in Wednesday’s mail.It includes my maternal family trees except for the Duffeys. That’s because I’m just learning about them and am working with a couple of other Duffey people who were stumped on the Duffey - Boulware connection.Since you cleared that up for us, we can now begin to make progress.I will send that tree to you when I get it updated.I’ve also included photos of Margaret Elizabeth Freeman and husband Landon Obie Jones, as well as photos of most of their children, including some family reunion photos.I’ve tried my best to identify the people in those photos and have given you a list of who I think they are. Also included are the obituaries for Margaret Elizabeth Freeman Jones and one of her sons, two articles about a family reunion and a family pool party, a newspaper photo of a Jones son and his wife on their 50th anniversary, and the Oath of Allegiance signed by Henry Floyd Freeman.
I’ve included some collateral lines on my trees because these families lived in Alabama and married some people with familiar names - Lightsey, Boon(e), and Hall.I will show you how Hall relates in the Duffey tree - there were marriages as well as Elinor Hall beingHenry Floyd Freeman’s gr gr gr grandma. Also, I’m descended from Lucinda Jane Boon Pless. She descends from the brother who is the ancestor of Ada Freeman Boon's husband. This tree is in the letter I sent you.
Let me know when you receive this and I look forward to your comments and your input on the family.Your third cousin, Deborah Murphy
