By T Wilson April 11, 2010 at 12:00:43

I have searched many years and cannot proceed any farther without help. my ggg grandfather is James Wemys MacCallan also spelled M'callan, Macallan, and many other ways. Eventually they settled on McCallan. He was born in Aberdeen Scotland, Ross & Cromarty. in 1817 to William Macallan and Catherine Duffus. He had a brother William born at Nairn Scotland 1807 to same parents. I have only this to go by:
William MCALLAN (M)................... C: 13 Jun 1807 Ba: C111232 Father: William MCALLAN Nairn, Nairn, Scotland So: 990985 Mother: Katharine DUFFUS Pr: 6902605

James Wemys MACALLAN (M).............. C: 5 Aug 1817 Ba: C110802 Father: William MACALLAN Rosemarkie, Ross and Cromarty, So: 990658 Mother: Catherine DUFFUS Scotland Pr: 6902542
I have no clue what it indexes or refers to. James Wemys MaCallan settled in Kansas Eventually in the United States. He married Anna Hack and they raised a large family of which I descend. Please help, any help at all would be appreciated. My email address is a good one.
Thank you.
