As noticed throughout these email postings, none of the Dul clans show any direct link between families. Sort of strange especially since the name Dul is not your common everyday name! Not to mention, most (if not all) Dul’s descendants originated from Poland! If any one wishes to know if there is a connection between these Dul families here in America and elsewhere, then it probably would be an agreeable idea to post early family maiden names!Especially, to reveal any undiscovered information that shows significant commonality in this genealogical puzzle!
This message was recently posted on the bulletin board to Sylive Sauvage.Which indicated our main early genealogy information. It starts withJan Dul (abt. 1846-1931) who married Karolina Rybicka (Rybicki – abt. 1856-1922).They remain in Poland their entire life, while most of their children immigrated to America.Their children were Mary Dul (1879-1951) whom married Joseph Stachula; Franciszek Dul (1884-1943) whom married Franciszka Plaza;Katarzyna Dul (1886-1951) whom married Jozef Wikary;Jozef Dul (1888-1943) whom married Marianna Skwarski;Szczepan Dul (1890-1957) a bachelor; Ludwig Dul (1893-1952) whom married Julianna Fila; and Josephine Dul (1902-1974) whom married Stanilaw Podkowski. Also, the surname Zuba is indicated in our early family tree.Anyhow, it is believed all these relatives originated from the southeastern region of Poland/Galicia in the town of Bychawa near Lublin, Poland.Although no concrete evidence exist that Bychawa is, for sure, the place of origin.
Furthermore, whether or not there are connections between Dul families, no one knows for certain at this time! Are we related in any way?The answer is most probable!Especially, since most of our ancestors originated from the southeastern region of Poland!Proving this genealogical linkage is another matter. This may take a good deal of combine work and time before enough information is gathered to show results.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended that we need to also start sharing information or facts regarding things pertaining to the DUL surname as we run across them.Whether the information is small tidbits or large quantities of material! Then together we can combine the extensive results of our findings and assimilate plenty of information over time to make an analogy or judgment.Additionally, since a lot of us are unsure of locations of our ancestors in Poland this can be a way of contributing resources and shared discoveries. Finally, then we may see concrete evidence to juxtapose genealogical lineage between some if not all the different families and began to fit the pieces to the puzzle and unravel this boggling genealogical maze!!!.
In conclusion, with the wonderful tool of the Internet, people are just beginning to seek and search others that share their unique names. We are the first generation with the real means to start this journey and right now we are just scratching the surface with no clear direction! So, for those whom are curious about their past ancestors and whom might be wondering who’s related to who, just remember we are the beginning pioneers in this new Internet genealogy endeavor! Therefore, the zeal to discovering the connections of prior ancestors and other distant related families is waiting around the corner.Hence, bear in mind this has to start by first sharing and then follow by communicating with one another!
