Ok, I did some research on ancestry.com and came up with the following on Peter Dulin:
His birthplace was misspelled and is actually Plavnica Hungary He immigrated to the US from Bremen Germany on the koln ship around October or November 1903 He married Susanna Humenick on 1/26/1913 in Ny Ny His wife was born in Zborov, Hungary
What is inconsistent are the DOB's. On one registration card he writes 12/1/87, on the other he writes 7/4/87. Some naturalization papers I came across also show his DOB 12/4/86. On one of his registration cards he writes he has blue eyes, brown hair and dark brown complexion 5-4 in height and 140 lbs. On the naturalization papers he must have told whoever drew up the document he had blue eyes fair skin and a white complexion, 5-5 145 lbs.
He also had a total of 5 children- John, Joseph, Edward, George and Anne Dulin. This I am pretty sure about. I think two of his children are still surviving. Haven't talked with them in years and my dad hasn't either.
Keep in mind that in the manifestation they listed his father and mother's birthplaces as Slovakia, which doesn't help support any French connections. Also, I am positive he was raised slavic by his mother, even though he could have been part French, so he listed his race/ethnicity as slovak in all the documents I came across.
I just looked at my dad's tree again and it appears that the birthplace of Peter was generally correct. The name just had a transcription error, since the handwriting on the registration card did look like Pravnici, even though it is really Plavnica he was born in. The DOB was pretty close for his wife, Suzana, but his DOB of 8/28/1888 has not checked out in any documents I have found.
I just haven't found any clues as to who his parents were.
DID ANYONE COME ACROSS THIS DULIN LINE? I NEED TO VERIFY HIS BIOLOGICAL PARENT INFORMATION TO PROVE/DISPROVE THE FRENCH CONNECTION AND TO VERIFY THAT THE INFORMATION MY FATHER TRACED ONLINE SOMEHOW IS CORRECT!
