I am looking for information on the Dumond/Demond families who lived in Woodland and Castleton, Barry County, Michigan.James and Dorothy (Dolly) Demond were in Woodland as early as 1850.George and Nancy (Putnam)Demond were there also in 1850 and I'm fairly sure that James and George were brothers.James (b. abt 1821 and George (b. abt 1817)were born in New York state - I am looking for the town and county they came from and also information about their parents..

I am also looking for like information for a Peter and Zylpha Demond/Dumond. Zylpha is in Woodland, Barry County, Michigan during the 1860 census (b. abt 1804) with children but not Peter.They are also from New York.
