William Dungan married Mary Polly Mason on 13 February 1800 in Williamson County, TN. She died 22 December 1825, and William remarried to another Mary unknown. He had two children of that marriage, William Hill Mason and George Washington Dungan--the two sons above who inherited his estate.
The children of the first marriage received the amounts of money above.
William Dungan's children by Mary Polly Mason are: Parthenia Dungan m Randall McKinney; Elizabeth, d Madison Co, TN; Sally m Thomas Malugin, moved to Greene Co MO; Nathan m (1) Lettice or Lillis Hamilton(2) Rebecca Berry, widow; From the will above, Polly is probably Mary Polly who married Livingston Sewell; son Thomas is the right age to have married his cousin Nancy Mason, daughter of Abram and Margaret Curry Mason; son Allen is right age to have married Jane Holmes and secondly Rebecca. Rebecca Dungan above in the will is the first mention I have seen of her.
Family letters had mentioned only one son for William Dungan, but the above places several more of the Dungan men of middle Tennessee.
Any information appreciated on Mason/Dungan and descendants.
