Joseph Anderson Dungan left Muncie Twp, Delaware County, Indiana before 1870 and settled into Manlius, Bureau County, Illinois.
Joseph Dungan moved from Waterloo Twp, to Harrison Twp in Fayette County, Indiana from 1850 to 1860. He moved then to Washington Twp, Wayne County, Indiana before 1870 and was still there in 1880.
As you can see you have Joseph and Joseph Anderson mixed up. Joseph Anderson was the son of Benjamin Dungan & Margaret Mitchell but I haven't figured out who Joseph Dungan's parents are. In all census records he states he was born in Ohio and in 1880 he states his parents were born in Pennsylvania. Rebecca states in 1880 she was born in Indiana her father in Maryland and mother in North Carolina, so she is definitely the daughter of Enoch Chambers & Margaret Brown. Joseph would have been born about 1813 or 1814 and probably died after that 1880 census because I found no trace of him & Rebecca after that date. Maybe you'll have a Joseph Dungan that was born in Ohio with parents in PA that will fit.

Elias is definitely Joseph Anderson Dungan's son but the others look alot like the children that are of Enoch Lewis Chambers and wife, Margaret Brown, according to several Family Trees at ancestry.

In that 1850 Fayette County, IN census I found: 1850, 26th August, Waterloo Twp, Fayette County, Indiana, pg. 470-471, lines 37-41, 1. Margaret Chambers 71 NC; Rachel Dungan 34 IN; Lydia Dungan 32 IN; Benjamin Dungan 13 IN; Rebecca Dungan 13 IN; Mary J. Dungan 11 IN; Margaret A. Dungan 8 IN. NEXT HOUSEHOLD, lines 2-10. Joseph Dungan 36 OH; Rebecca 29 IN; Minerva 11 IN; Margarette 9 IN; William 7 IN; Edy 5 IN (female); Harriette H. 3 IN; Lucinda 1 IN; Enoch Chambers 71 MD.
According to marriage records and census records, Lydia Dungan lives with her daughter, Rebecca S. Dungan who married John Miller 30 May 1858 in Fayette County, IN. Rebecca's sister, Margaret A. Dungan also lives with them and appears to have never married. Lydia & Margaret are found living with Rebecca's son Frank in 1880. As for Mary J. Dungan, a Mary Jane Dungan married John White 04 Nov 1855 in Fayette County, IN but I'm not sure if she is Lydia's or Rachel's daughter. The time frame works though. She might be Lydia's, since all 3 girls are listed together in that 1850 census. They probably listed Rachel's first & then Lydia's, so I'd tentatively place her with Lydia.
Would you share what you have on David G. Dungan's line? Is he the son of Benjamin Dungan & Margaret Mitchell?
