The "southern" Dunagans are no doubt connected to the TN DOAS, and the TN Crows as well. These Dunagans that came further south are found living among my GA Crows in Elbert, Franklin, Hall, and Whitfield Cos. GA, or perhaps you already are aware of this.
I am related to these Dunagans, and the Harlan, Hollingsworth, and Crow families, that intermarried with each other, but on my maternial side, not my Crow side that I have found, just yet.
The Dunagan Cemetery in Hall Co. GA was named for Ezekial Dunagan, and the Dunagan Cemetery in Whitfield Co. GA, just below Chattanooga TN, was named for Ezekial Dunagan's son, John Dunagan (1790-1857), who married Martha Harlan (1811-1965).Martha's father, Valentine Harlan (1766-1852), was the first person buried at the (John) Dunagan Cemetery, in what is now Whitfield Co. GA, where many of my family members are buried as well.Martha Harlan's 1st. cousin, Sarah Harlan, married Rev. Charles Crow Jr., both reported to be of Chatham Co., NC, married in SC, moved to and both died in Perry Co., AL. These families are all believed to have passed through Chatham/Orange Cos. NC area with some of the GA Crow families, but I have not been able to connect my Crow line to any of them yet.
If this information is new to you, perhaps it may help in some way to sort these TN and GA families out.
