There are a few touch points of interest in your request - Candaigua, NY, Dunnigan and Coyle. So there must be some shared family link between Thomas Dunnigan born in Castleshane, County Monaghan, Ireland and Jane Dunnigan. They both settled in Canadaigua, NY for a time.
Thomas Dunnigan was born in 1812, married Bridget NcNally in 1838 or 1841. The wedding was performed by her Uncle Bishop Charles NcNally in Monaghan. I believe Thomas arrived in America in 1849. His wife and son James arrived a few months later and they moved to Canadaigua, NY and lived there on a farm until 1856. They moved to Cottage Grove, WI in lived there until 1872 when they moved to Chippewa Falls, WI a growing lumber town.
There is a reference in some family history to a William Coyle (who married Thomas Dunnigan's sister, name unknown -later, after his first wife died, he married a sister of Thomas Dunnigan's wife, whose maiden name is MacNally/ NcNally). The Coyle family lived in Waverly, IA. Also, their son is a Bernard Coyle (who was a nephew of Thomas Dunnigan. The Reverand Father Bernard Coyle was a well-known priest in Waverly and Cedar Falls, IA. Father Bernard Coyle died on October 27, 1901 in Cedar Falls.
