I have a William Henry Dunstan, plasterer, born about 1841, fathers name John. He married an Irish girl, Margaret Connolly at Huddersfield, Yorkshire in 1860 and they had three children, John, Timothy and Ellen between 1863 and 1867.
I cannot find him on any of the census although his wife and children are on the 1871 census and later, still in Huddersfield. His wife remarried in 1878 using her maiden name and claiming to be a spinster.
I cannot find a death for him so I wonder if he emigrated to another country. I know that sometimes men would do this then later send for their family. It is possible that he either died or simply met someone else, leaving his wife without any word of him.
Does anybody have a William Henry Dunstan from England, or Ireland, born around 1841?
