Connaught Journal – Galway 7April1827: trial at Galway Asizes states that Patrick Durack Senior, James Brogan and others were sentenced to be executed for burglary and wounding with robbery on the house of Philip Reed. Upon hearing the sentence, the prisoners set up a great wailing and his Lordship ý(the Judge)ý was moved to tears.
