Hi, Thanks for responding. So you are saying she is Mrs. Prudence DANIEL, and a daughter of Stephen DURDEN.Is that correct?I will see what I can find on her. Is your Stephen a part of the DURDENS who migrated to Burke, Emanuel and Washington County, GA area? Also, what do you know about a John DURDIN who lived in Reese Community, Morgan County, GA adjacent to John C. RICHTER, Sr. (1848-1907) and his wife, Alice Elizabth DANIEL (1854-1924)? Also, have you see a deed transfering land in the Reese area of Morgan County, GA (District 19, Land lot 19) to an Alice DANIEL or Alice RICHTER in the 1865-1895 time frame? My grandmother, Alice Daniel RICHTER somehow ended up with the property that she and John lived on but she did not buy it, which means she inheritied it from someone. There is a John DANIEL, who died in Morgan County, GA in 1867, and his will was executed by a STOVALL, a name that is sometimes around the RICHTER family. As for the COLEMANS, they are related to the RICHTERS - the Eden COLEMAN and Nancy Ann DANIEL family of Greene County, GA.Nancy was the d/o Thomas DANIEL, Jr and Sarah BURNEY of Greene County, GA.Do any of these names ring a bell with your bunch. As for the land that Alice owned in Reese, she deeded 1.5 acres to Milton Chapel in 1895 and helped to build this Christian church in Reese, although she and John were members of the Madison Prebysterian Church. This was a church named in memory of her son, Milton Abbott RICHTER (1888-1891), who had died in 1891.This church was in existance from 1895 to ABT 1940.I have a picture of this church with the RICHTERS and others standing in front of it taken ABT 1895.
