KITTERY, Maine - Florence Durgin Morrow, 100, of Newson Avenue in Kittery, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2004.
Born on Aug. 15, 1903, in Kittery Point, she was a daughter of Percy and Elizabeth Durgin. She attended local schools and graduated from R.W. Traip Academy with the Class of 1921.
She met and later married her loving husband of many years, Cedric T. Morrow. They made their home together in Kittery until his death in 1981.
Mrs. Morrow was employed at French’s Department Store in Portsmouth, as well as Paul’s Market, and retired in 1968.
She enjoyed membership in her church, the First Congregational Church at Kittery Point, and also in NARFE and AARP, as well as the Kittery Chapter, Order of Eastern Star No. 90.
A lovely woman with much to share with those who enjoyed time with her, she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by four brothers, Andrew, Harold, Norman and Carl Durgin; and two sisters, Mary Moore and Margaret Rostron.
