I have been against a brickwall in my own Dutcher line for a long time, so I keep researching all the Dutcher lines I can hoping toeventually make a connection or have enough material to publish a book, but as it turns out, I can help some people more with their lines than I can with my own. This seems to be the case here.
I did some checking through my notes and I found a few clues about your Sylvester S. Dutcher. The Ohio 1910 Census Miracode Index has an entry for him and he was indeed married to a Chloe but her real name was Chloe Belle Hufford. (Daughter of Joseph Hufford and Mary Needs)Sylvester was born 23 Feb 1881.
Sylvester's Father was Samuel Dutcher b. 1854 d.1927. Samuel was married to Clara TATEMAN.
As for who Samuel's parents were....well I am still looking. There are dozens of Samuel Dutchers in the records, but I have two good guesses though. The dates don't match up perfectly, but they are close enough to be taken serriously
1. SAMUEL DUTCHER, b. 1857. The son of LEVI DUTCHER, b. 15-November-1821, N.Y.; m.JANE KELSAY d. 23-May-1899, Moniteau Co., Missouri.
2. Samuel A. Dutcher b. Abt. 1855 The son of George N. Dutcher b. 4 APR 1831 Canada m. Hannah A. McCord d. 6 DEC 1875 Momence, Kankakee, IL
These are simply two Samuel Dutcher's I have in my notes that could be yours, there could be other Samuel Dutchers out there who have thus far eluded me.If you want more information about these two Samuels or information about the early Dutchers, write to me and I'll bury you with information:)
