Hi Russell,
I am looking for information on the Dutchers. My family is intermingled with them way back.
I am currently seeking information on
Sylvanus Dutcher of Bay Du Vin, born abt 1824, died abt 1913. Sylvanus' wife was Christine(a) Featherham (not 100% sure on the last name as I have seen variations). Their children were:
John
Margaret Jane
Peter Featherham
Mary
Christine
Catherine
Sarah Ann
Daniel
Christina Featherham is likely a step aunt (GGGG) to me.
My gggg-grandfather Angus McDonald Chambers married Mary Dutcher on June 9th 1864 at St John the Evangelist in Bay Du Vin. Mary was the daughter of John Dutcher and Sylvanus' sister.
James Dutcher also John's son and Mary and Sylvanus' sibling married Eliza Jane Chambers October 1, 1863. Note-I believe that Eliza Jane is actually Eliza Jane Mace who according to the 1851 census was 7 and living with Jospeph Chambers' family, who was my ggggg-grandfather. I believe that they adopted her and she assumed their last name.
Please email me if any of these names ring a bell.

Thanks
Julie
