Looking for information about parents/siblings of Wyatt Grant and Elizabeth Duty. Know information is that Wyatt Grant was born between 1790-1800 probably in North Carolina. elizabeth born about the same time probably in North Carolina. They were married in Posey County/Gibson County, IN in 1815. They had Wyatt Stinson Grant (May 5, 1824) married Mary Ann Lee in Williamson County, IL.
Jubal Grant of Wilson, TN married Nancy Hightower COULD BE Wyatt's brother. See Marty Grant's page at: http://www.martygrant.com/gen/grant/grant-jubal-wilson-tn.htmhttp://www.martygrant.com/gen/grant/grant-jubal-wilson-tn.htm This is only considered b/c time frame, location, and Jubal had a son named Wyatt. Wyatt had a son named Jubal.
Also please see Dennis Doughty's posts from August 1999 in the GRANT family forum for more speculation concerning Duty/Grant connection in Posey County.

Jeanne, thanks for the reply on Grants from Posey County Indiana! We have a match!!! I just need to prove it and trade some information with you. My GGGGG grandmother was Anna Grant married to John Duty. Anna Grant was born in 1805 Virginia and died April 14, 1868 and buried in Franklin, Illinois. Her parents were Moses Grant born <1777 in Virginia and died Nov 26, 1834 in Posey, Indiana. Her mother was Elizabeth Grant born <1781 in Virginia. Their daughter Anna married John Duty on April 13, 1824 in Posey County Ind. They had 13 children, Moses, William, Martha, Elizabeth, James, Maranda, Anna, Moneca, Hiram, Daniel, Elijah, Thomas Edward, and John. On the GRANT side, from the marriage of Moses and Elizabeth Grant they had 8 children, Anna, Armstead, Elizabeth, Joseph, Polly Ann, Patsey, Ransom, and Peterson. I see from your notes that your Elizabeth Duty who married Wyatt Grant was born in NC in 1797. My duty GGGGG grandfather John Duty was born in NC in 1799...I would imagine that your Elizabeth was his sister. This is great! Please email me at home, firstname.lastname@example.org and lets trade information. I am searching for Duty and Grant information.
Any information that might help me sort this family out would be greatly appreciated.
