Doyle Dyke, 82, of Fieldstone Loop, Mosheim, died early
Wednesday morning, Oct. 8, 2008, at the University of
Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Knox Co TN.
He retired from Pet Milk Company, having hauled milk in
the East Tennessee area for more than 40 years.
He was a son of the late Loyd and Lucille Linebarger Dyke
and was preceded in death by three brothers, B. Edgar 'Son'
Dyke, Dale Dyke, and Luther Dyke.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jocy Harmon Dyke;
one daughter and son-in-law, Shelia and Herbie Young of
Bulls Gap, TN; one grandson, Brandon Blazer; one brother,
Ulysses Dyke of Mosheim, TN; two sisters and brothers-in-
law, Annie Grimes of Mosheim, TN, and Beatrice and Robert
Busler of Chuckey, TN; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-
law, Cleo and Lloyd Craven of Bristol, Betty Brooks of
Morristown, TN, Bobby and Shirley Harmon of NC, Ann Busler
of Midway, TN, Carolyn and Max Hawkins of Mosheim, TN,
Barbara Sue Dyke of Midway, TN, and Frances Dyke of
Greeneville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and special
friends, Charles and Barbara Williams of Midway, TN,
Evelyn and Wayne Hybarger, Janie Melton, and Barbara
Reynolds, all of Mosheim, TN, and Judy and Bobby Blazer
and Tim Blazer, all of Greeneville, TN.
The family receivd friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday,
October 9, 2008, at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday,
October 10, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. The Rev.
Richard Long will officiate.
Interment will follow in Mosheim Central Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Busler, Robert Busler, Terry
Dyke, Tim Blazer, Lloyd Craven, Wayne Hybarger, and
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Charlton, Max Hawkins,
and John Rader.
