The Dyckman House is a good idea for a copy of the book about Jan Dyckman.I have not been there, but would be glad to support them.I have seen several web pages about the placeandam amazed that they include so many pictures and good information about the people and their struggles during the Revolutionary War. But,I have not yet visited the old house.
My genealogy program is called Family Origins by Parsons Technology. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our family has a record of about 1000 names. We are also descended from the Ostranders from Holland.I understand that one of the family built a place on the Hudson River called The Beekman Place, near Kingston.
My sister lives in western, upstate NY and might be persuaded to go with me next summerto visit the Beekman Place (a tavern) andthe Dyckman House.
I'm pleased to find that you have such a deep interest in this family.
