DNA
Has any direct male descendant of surname Eads taken the DNA test? If so, is there any surname Eads that is in the'I1' Haplogroup?
My surname is Freeman. I beleive my greatgrandfather changed his name. If he did, he never disclosed what his real name was. His name was John Henry Freeman. He was born in 1842 in Indiana or Illinois. His father's name may have been Thomas. I have found a John H. Eads age 8 years old on the 1850 census for Knox County, Indiana (Knox is on the Illinois border). His father's name is Thomas Eads. It seems that nothing much is known about this John H. Eads. My ggrandfather married Ellen Eastwood on 2 Nov 1884 in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri. Nothing is known about my ggrandfather prior to this date, except that he may have ran a saloon somewhere in Arkansas at one time. He may have had a brother named Jack.
I have taken the DNA testing. My Haplogroup is 'I1'.
Any info on John H. Eads would be very much appreciated.
