Lelon Eager found dead at his home.
Lelon R. Eager, 45 of Clinton, was found dead at his home, 505 Eagle Bend Rd., Tuesday about 5 p.m.. He had been ill, but his family thought he was much better Monday. Mr. Eager resided alone, his mother, Mrs. Margaret Kincaid Eager, being in a rest home in Knoxville. An Anderson County native, Mr. Eager was an accountant and at one time was employed by Ernst and Ernst in Atlanta. Lelon was a member of the Clinton Lions Club, where he served asthe pianist. Lelon was the last of four brothers, all of whom died in early life and whose deaths were tragic. Rowe was killed in the early days of World War II and is buried in France. Frankie was killed in an automobile accident between Clinton and Oak Ridge. Dick, and airman in World War II and for a time a clinton photographer, was found dead in Nashville of natural causes. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Holley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. William Jelf officiating. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a half-brother, Eugene Eager of Knoxville.
