For those of you who are interested in the Earharts associated with the Brethren in Lincoln, NC, please be advised to also look in Tryon County, NC from which Lincoln and Rutherford Counties were formed.
I am researching Christopher Guise/Guice who is associated with Elder Earhart. Guise is presumed to have entered US in Pennsylvania from the Alsace Lorraine/Palatine area, and ultimately ended up down in Davidson, TN before moving on down to Natchez area. Researchers have found records of Guise/Guice in Davidson, Lincoln County, NC, Natchez, Stewart and Montgomery counties in TN.
And, in many of those locations, we find the Earharts and Jacob Forney.
Just before Christmas of 2003, I found Christopher Guise and the Earharts - Phillip, Catherine and Abraham Erehart in the Tryon County Court minutes of 1769 - 1779 (author: Brent Holcomb,) as well as many other brethren families. If anyone is interested in these Erehart entries?
If anyone has info on Christopher Guise/Guice, I'd be interested to know.
