This line is certainly a confusing one. I've also wondered about the documentation that links Abraham to all of these children. I found a land deed in Ohio County, West Virginia in 1826 which names as heirs of Abraham Earliwine: Adam Earliwine, David Earliwine, James Carmichael and Mary his wife, Samuel Carmichael and Sarah his wife, and Jacob and Catharine E. Earliwine.Deed 16-348 identifies Jacob and wife Ruth, and Catharine Earliwine. There are at least 14 children attributed to Abraham by his two wives, but does anyone know what links him to the other 9 children who are not named in this estate deed? I've wondered if it is possible that some of these Earlywines are grandchildren instead of children?
