You have combined information on at least two George Earnharts.There were several living in Rowan Co., N. C., at the time.
Daniel's father, George,Jr., was born 29 Dec. 1768 in Lowhill Township, Northampton Co., Penn.He married Hannah Culp on 6 Aug. 1793.They had 10 children.We have his Family Bible.He moved to Bedford Co., Tenn., about 1812 and bougjht a 1000-acre farm on the Duck River.He was still living there in 1840, but had died by 1850.He is buried on the farm.He created several legal records in Bedford Co. during this period, so we know he never moved.Daniel was still living on the farm in 1878, according to a county map, and was buried there.Daniel's wife is called Martha in the 1850 census, but is called Ann in his 1883 court-administered estate settlement.Unfortunately, Bedford Co. marraige records and wills were lost in several courthouse fires. They still have the deeds and some court records.
The George who was born in 1759 was the soldier who later moved to Madison Co. and filed a pension application. Daniel' father Goorge never was a soldier.He was only 12 when Revolutionary War combat effectively ended in the South.We have many more records of the Bedford Co. group, but this is a brief outline.
