I am researching my Earnshaw ancestors and have recently found out that, before they came to Canada, their name was Henshaw. Thomas Henshaw married Harriet Meakin at St. Johns Church, Worksop England in 1871. He was a widower, age 52. They had two sons, William and Oliver. Oliver was my grandfather. I do not have any information on Thomas's first marriage. Only know that there were children from his first marriageand some moved to New Zealand (Ricarton) I have three copies of letters from a son, Thomas (NZ)to his father in England, in the 1880's and mentioning the marriage to Harriet and the family was happy that Thomas would not be alone anymore.Senior Thomas was born in 1819 or 1820. Not certain as the marriage to Harriet happened on January 30, 1871.Can anyone help me out here? I am stuck!
