I am interested in learning whether or not anyone is attempting to update the Eash Family Record and History, recording Descendents of Bishop Jacob Eash, born 1774 in Dauphin Co. Pennsylvania.
Bishop Eash lived most of his life in Somerset County, PA where he was the first Amish Bishop. This group of Amish lived in northern Somerset Co. near the Cambria County line, and later, as a group, became Mennonite. At the time, Amish and Mennonite were less differentiated than now. This is not associated with the current Amish community in Somerset County, which is located in the southern end of the county near Maryland, including the village of Springs.
This was published in the 1930s with nearly 3000 entries. An update would be very interesting. The project would be huge.
