Trisha: I am not sure how you fit into the family picture.I am the son of Harvey Easterday and Emma Robison of Kirksville.I do remember your mother rather well. She was married to Pete May and they had two sons as I recall: Chester (Chet) and another whose name I can't remember.I have a copy of the brith records from the family bible which was pass from Henry Easterday to Burley Easterday and is now in the possession of Henry Easterday of Franklin, Indiana.According to bht birth recordsand marriage records I can give you the following information (If you wish I could fax the records to you).
Henery Easterday was born January 9, 1860 and married Nacissus Hudlestun December 11, 1979.Narcissus was borh in 1861.They had three children ---(I can't read the first name) Gilbert Easterday (b. July 1, 1880); Luly Edith Easterday (B. Dec. 3, 1882) and Lilly May Easterday (b. Oct. 6, 1885).I am not sure when Narcissus died.Henry remarried a second time to Hanah Retta Corn (b. March 7, 1868).They had the follwing children Cantha Ann Easterday (b. Aug. 1, 1890); Nora Pena Easterday (b. Jul 29,1893, Hazzle Merie Easterday (b. June 19, 1896); Jennie Almma Easterdy (b.Oct 16, 1899): Harvey V Easterday (b. March 5, 1902) and Burley H. Easterday (b. Aug. 29, 1906)There was one other child born between Harvey and Burley but who lived a short time. That child is also burried at Walker's Chapel.
I don't know anything aboutRetta (perhaps aka Canth)'; previous marriage. It is my belief that one or more of the children of Henry and Narcisus moved to Iowa.I do know that Dad and Buck (Burley) went to Iowa to visit a half sister and her family.I would appreciate any information on Earnets?, Skylor, or Staton. This si the first time that I have seen these names but I seem to recall Dad saying that my grandmother had been married before.I feel certain that there would be some records in White County.
Please fill me in on your family background.I recall many fun times at "Aunt Cantha's".They all played some music.
