Easterly Descendants of Jackson County, Illinois
For those who don't know already, I am a native of Murphysboro, IL and a descendant of the Jacobs Family of Jackson County, Illinois. Connected to one of the Jacobs is an Easterly who was a son of Casper Branner and Elizabeth Bible/Biebel Easterly. There were apparently several sons and daughters of Casper & Elizabeth, 13 as I recall.
My question is, has anyone developed a thorough linkage between all of Casper's children to include a descendancy lineage of each of these 13 children?
Specificly, I am seeking the descendants of my own Jacobs and their descendants down to present day persons, but I am not limiting my query to merely these.
My Jacobs migrated to Pope County, IL in about 1849 and then some migrated on into Jackson County where the Easterlys already had been about that same time of 1849 or slightly before. I believe that what drew the Jacobs to Southern Illinois had been the previous migration of Casper Easterly and family but that is speculation at this time.
Here is what I have at present (thanks to many of you who post on this board).
1-Casper Branner Easterly, b. 24 Nov 1783, Shenandoah, VA; d. 08 Oct 1862, Jackson Co., IL.

+Rebecca Jane Jacobs, b. 1826, Jefferson Co., TN; d. unkn; buried: Grizzell Cemetery, Ora Twp, Jackson Co., IL. married: 07 Jan 1847, Jefferson Co., TN. d/o Jacob and Elizabeth Doughty Jacobs.
3-i-James P. Easterly, b. 1851, Jackson Co., IL.
3-ii-William C./G. Easterly, b. 1853, Jackson Co., IL.
+Mary Lakeman, married: 15 Nov 1877.
3-iii-Jacobs B. (Branner?) Easterly, b. 1856, Jackson Co., IL.

4-i-Aubry Henry Easterly, b. 04 Oct 1883; d. 06 Feb 1920, Herrin, Williamson County, IL. buried: Evergreen Cemetery, Ava, Ora Twp, Jackson Co., IL. (Aubry is possible child of Lewis and Mira). Note: G.A. Gordon officiated at his funeral.
3-v-Elizabeth Easterly, b. 1860.
3-vi-Sarah Easterly, b. 1863.
Note: Burials listed as Grizzell Cemetery is actually NEAR Grizzell Cemetery around the bend on the Reiman Farm.
Note: The Caleb Witt Easterlys are listed in the 1860 Census of Pomona Twp, Jackson Co., IL.
Note: The Witt families of East TN intermarried throughout the years with the various branches of the Jacobs families. How Caleb Witt Easterly came to be named for the Witts is unknown.
Parents of Rebecca Jane Jacobs were Jacob Jacobs b. 08 Mar 1801, VA; d. 27 Aug 1858, Jefferson Co., TN. Elizabeth Doughty b. Abt 1801, unkn; d. Aft 1838/Bef 1843, Jefferson Co., TN. Rebecca's father, Jacob, remarried in 1843 and began a second Jacobs family before migrating to Pope Co., IL. He died during a trip back to Jefferson Co., TN and is buried there along side his first wife.
(Like the Easterlys?), the Jacobs owned farming land on the Nolichucky River in East TN.
Anyone interested in developing this Easterly family further from the lines in Jackson County IL???
I would also like to have these family lines entered into any existing Easterly family Gedcom if that is possible.
